Privacy Policy

This policy describes how ChoreDone (the iOS app, App Store bundle ID com.syndicate.kidsapp) collects and uses information. The app is a family chore and rewards tracker. Parents create the account. Children use the app under a parent's account.

Information we collect
- Account: email address, user ID, display name, and sign-in method (email, Google, or Apple).
- Family profiles: child first names and task/reward settings the parent enters.
- Photos, videos, and voice notes: images a parent uploads for tasks or gifts, proof a child submits when a parent requires it, and an optional short parent voice note when returning a task.
- App activity: which features are used, so we can operate chores, rewards, and subscriptions.
- Push token: an Expo device/app install token, stored with your account, so we can deliver task and reward notifications. Expo sends the notification on our behalf.
- Diagnostics: crash logs, session telemetry, and performance traces (latency/loading) sent to Sentry to keep the app stable. We do not use an advertising ID and we do not show ads. Collection starts after you sign in or create an account and agree to this policy.
- Product analytics: usage events sent to PostHog when a parent leaves analytics on, or when a child turns analytics on. Parents can turn this off for the family in Settings. Child analytics stays off until the child turns it on.
How we use it
We use this information to run the app: sign-in, chores, rewards, family profiles, and optional Premium subscription. We do not sell personal information. We do not use data for advertising or marketing to children.
Children
The app is intended for families. A parent or guardian must create the account. Child information (name, tasks, photos, progress) is collected so the family can use chores and rewards. Parents can request deletion of a child profile and associated data as described below.
Sharing
We store app data on our hosting and database providers (including Supabase). Crash reports and performance traces are processed by Sentry on our behalf. Push tokens are sent to Expo to deliver notifications. Product analytics are processed by PostHog on our behalf. Purchase history is processed by RevenueCat when you buy or restore. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app, or if required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and family data while the account is active. To delete an account and associated data, follow this deletion page or email development@buttonsos.com. We complete verified requests within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or security reasons for a limited time.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Access to our systems is limited to people who need it to operate the service.
Changes
We may update this policy. The Last updated date at the top will change when we do.
